The beginning of your treatment is called the planning stage. During this stage, you can expect to receive a thorough evaluation, so our team can understand the direction to take your treatment. We will take impressions of your teeth and an X-ray that allows us to see any potential complications or damage. We will create computer-generated photos to plan your individual treatment. This allows us to accurately shape and align your teeth and jaw. We will take photos of your teeth throughout treatment to see the progress that has been made.
After those steps are complete, we begin phase two, where we decide which orthodontic appliance is the right option for you. You can choose between removable or fixed appliances. Depending on which appliance you chose, you will receive a treatment plan, time frame and instructions.
Phase three begins after you complete your treatment plan and your braces or removable appliances are removed. We will make you a retainer to wear so your teeth do not slip out of their new position. Our dentist and team will instruct you on how often your retainers should be worn.
