Dr. Joyce Bahng, DMD, MPH, FAGD, D. ABDSM

Dr. Joyce Bahng came to the U.S. over 20 years ago for advanced education after finishing college in food science and technology in South Korea. She has always been excited by the opportunity to learn more and tackle challenging new aspects of life. Since graduating from dental school in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Bahng has continuously advanced her knowledge and skill in dentistry by attending dental programs and completing over 1000 continuing education classes. She is a board member with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain.

Dr. Joyce H. Bahng received her master’s in public health at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. She graduated from dental school at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Bahng owned a private dental practice in Cleveland, Ohio, and later moved to Virginia in 2019. She has been serving the American Army Reserve since 2019.

It is worth mentioning that when Dr. Bahng does the usual patient exam, she automatically evaluates each patient for TMD and sleep apnea to get a solid understanding of their jaw joint and airway management, which is crucial for the patient’s long-term oral health. Patients are encouraged to see her not only for aesthetic dentistry but also for TMJ issues, jaw pain, sleep apnea, craniofacial development and more.

Besides dentistry, Dr. Bahng enjoys practicing hot yoga and traveling in her free time.

I have moved from Egypt to Virginia to continue and work toward my higher education. I graduated from George Mason University with a bachelor’s in biology and a minor in business. I became more interested in dentistry when I observed my first root canal therapy during my undergraduate program. It was a fascinating experience that led me to my dental profession. I am very passionate about educating patients on their oral health, and it has been a great journey. I enjoy playing soccer and riding motorcycles when I have free time.

I had an amazing experience at JB Dental Implant Center in Sterling. The office is clean, pleasant, and welcoming. Dr. Joyce Bahng is incredibly caring and knowledgeable, always taking the time to share information and explain every step. Her team is just as wonderful! I had such a great dental experience here, and I’m more than willing to continue working with this team for my future dental health needs!

Long time patient and will have to say that the new staff and Dr. have been outstanding. I am a adult "fraidy cat" and the staff made sure I was very comfortable with all procedures and also made sure I was warm since I am always cold in these places.

Had to get two implants done and was dreading the process - but I was worried for nothing. Implants were immediate delivery so I was able to get out off the office and get something (soft) to eat asap. My whole dental health has improved with their continued care and treatments.

Overall I am very pleased with the service and attention to detail that JB Dental has provided. Will and have recommended this office to others.

I love Dr. B and all of her staff :) they currently are helping me fix my TMJ Disorder that has caused me a great amount of pain for years. As someone with chronic pain, being able to see a dentist who understands more than just the basics has been nothing short of life changing for me. Their office also has convenient scheduling and is so understanding about my hectic schedule. At the end of the day, I have stayed at JB dental even after moving from the area because I can’t see myself going anywhere else.

My dentist was Dr. Fadi Alhrashi. I must say he is the best dentist I've ever had! I've been screwed over by so many dentists before, but he is definitely the best! I drove all the way from Falls Church to see him. When other dentist's told be I need a tooth pulled and 5 root canals, only so that they can earn more money, Dr. Fadi fixed me without pulling anything and only one root canal. He is a good man who wouldn't screw you over only to make more profit. I've went years without seeing a dentist due to my financial situation, but Dr. Fadi helped me a lot, and I'm very thankful. His staff were very nice, and the payment plan was also very flexible. 100% recommended!

This was my first visit for a routine cleaning and I was welcomed by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. They used top-of-the-line industry level technology to create a 3D scan of my teeth, allowing them to visually identify issues that no other clinic had noticed before the problems I’ve been dealing with for a long time. Definitely be going here for my regular check ups!!
